India – News broke on March 17, 2024, that Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, a highly influential spiritual leader and founder of the Isha Foundation, underwent emergency brain surgery at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi. This unexpected development has garnered national attention and sparked concern among his vast following.

Reason Behind Surgery:

According to a statement released by the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru had been battling severe headaches for weeks. Demonstrating immense dedication, he continued fulfilling his scheduled activities, including overseeing celebrations for Mahashivratri. However, his condition significantly worsened on March 17th, with additional symptoms like weakness in his left leg and recurring vomiting.

A CT scan revealed a significant amount of bleeding within the skull, necessitating immediate intervention. A team of doctors led by Dr. Vinit Suri performed the surgery to remove the bleeding.

Positive Progress, Uncertain Cause:

The Isha Foundation’s statement confirmed a successful surgery, with Sadhguru showing “steady progress.”  His brain function, vital signs, and overall condition have reportedly returned to normal levels.
